We are looking for motivated self-starters to come join our team at Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel in our Staff Cafeteria "The Bean". Starting Rate: $19.30 per hour

We recognize tenure through our compensation. Hourly rates increase after six months, and yearly to three years. At three years the pay rate for this role would be $22.05

Job Duties Include:

• Communicate with the Chef to learn daily work tasks and their coordination, and complete daily prep list.
• Assisting Chef and culinary team with light preparation duties in the kitchen
• Be knowledgeable of all areas in the staff cafeteria, plating, preparations of all menu items
• Communicate with all cooks daily for proper pars and production requirements when needed.
• Fill and maintain the prep list up to par
• Restock dishware and replenish food items on salad bar & condiments
• Clean and sanitize all high touch point surfaces, including sweeping & mopping of floors

Your Skills & Qualfications:

• Minimum 6 months' food and beverage experience

• Safe Food Handling Certification required

• Able to lift, carry and pull up to 50lbs and able to constantly stand and walk throughout shift
• Able to withstand exposure to kitchen equipment includes large and small ovens, stoves, steam kettles, mixers, sheeter, fryers, rational ovens, steamers, tilt skillets, fridges and freezers as well as blast freezers
• Demonstrates initiative, and the ability to work with minimal supervision
• Have excellent interpersonal/communication skills, are polite, friendly and outgoing
