What will your compensation be?

The starting salary for this role is $19.50 per hour.

When does this adventure begin?

This job is posted as part of our seasonal hiring for Spring/Summer, 2025. Preference will be given to candidates who are available for a contract from May 1 - October 18.

What will you do in this job?

  • Lead and motivate a small team of Dockhand/Rentals Agents
  • Train and continuously evaluate the Dockhand/Rentals Agents team on POS systems and safety procedures
  • Sustain a safe environment in all areas controlled by Minnewanka Lake
  • Participate in the global effort to keep all areas of Minnewanka clean and wildlife safe
  • Be prepared for a fast-paced work environment with changing conditions
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and good communication skills
  • Ensure that a high level of customer service is given to each guest
  • Introduce, teach and enforce safe boating rules and operation of vessels
  • Effectively handle guest complaints while adhering to and setting the example of hospitality standards
  • Operate POS systems; assist guests in completing rental agreement forms
  • Supervise Lake Minnewanka rental area, and provide on water assistance to guests in need
  • Perform daily checks on rental boats and docks
  • Small daily maintenance tasks

What skills and experience do you need for this job?

  • High attention to detail and excellent communication skills
  • Be a self-starter and have a passion for motivating others
  • Comfort and experience in providing feedback in a constructive manner to improve employee performance and engagement
  • Be solution oriented individual and strive to effectively solve problems in a timely manner
  • Ability to multitask in fast paced environments
  • Ability to think calmly and clearly in any situation
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Pleasure Craft Operator Card (PCOC), support and course reimbursement provided
  • Second language an asset
