This role will support the Treasury department in various tasks related to cash management, financial analysis, and debt management. This opportunity provides hands-on experience in key treasury functions, including cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, and financial reporting. The student will interact with finance teams and business units, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the company's financial operations and strategies.

Responsibilities

• Assist in cash flow forecasting and liquidity management, ensuring accurate and timely analysis of cash positions.

• Support the preparation and reconciliation of daily cash reports and bank account monitoring.

• Contribute to debt management activities, including tracking debt instruments, preparing interest payment schedules, and updating related documentation.

• Participate in the analysis of financial data to support treasury operations, including currency exposure management and investment strategies.

• Research and resolve discrepancies in treasury transactions, respond to queries, and assist with ad-hoc treasury projects as needed.

Skill/Competencies

• Understanding of cash management, debt instruments, and financial reporting.

• Strong ability to analyze financial data, perform reconciliations, and support liquidity management.

• High level of accuracy in tracking and reporting financial transactions.

• Ability to work effectively within a team, supporting various treasury functions and cross-functional projects.

Qualifications

• Legally authorized to work in Canada full-time for the duration of your work term and able to produce documentation upon application (e.g., work visa).

• Available to begin work in May 2025.

• Previous experience using SAP would be an asset.

Education

• Must be enrolled in a Business degree focused on Accounting, Commerce, Economics or Finance major at an accredited post-secondary institution at the time of intended work term and returning to full-time studies after the work term OR registered in an accredited post-secondary co-op or internship program for the duration of the work term.

• Candidates currently enrolled in either a master’s or Ph.D. program at an accredited post-secondary institution may also be considered.
