Do you have a passion for empowering students to fulfil their personal, academic and professional goals? We are looking for a Supervisor of International Engagement and Settlement to support NAIT's diverse group of students.
Reporting to the Manager, International Student Experience, the Supervisor, International Engagement and Settlement provides support, leadership, and direction to a dynamic team of engagement coordinators and engagement assistants. The supervisor develops, delivers, and evaluates programs, services, and events that support students' settlement, academic and career education journeys. The supervisor works and collaborates with key stakeholders to promote internationalization across the institution and deliver programs/events to realize strategic goals, especially those pertaining to newcomer community building and engagement and retention. The Supervisor consistently monitors department activities to proactively identify and report trends, issues or concerns to the Manager, and is ultimately accountable for ensuring a highly impactful, positive international student experience.
This position requires a high level of intercultural competence to work with a highly diverse team and student population. The supervisor will foster a positive environment to collaborate and create student programing, keeping international student needs at the heart of the process. Understanding the international student experience is paramount for success.

Related post-secondary diploma.
Bachelor's degree is preferred.
Extensive related experience (minimum of five years) with a minimum of three years in event planning and coordination. Preference is given if the experience is within an educational setting.
Ability to work evenings and weekends as necessary.
Equivalencies may be considered.
Applicants with education credentials earned outside of Canada should have their credentials evaluated by World Education Services or the International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS).
Remuneration: $67,738.32 - $91,093.60 annually, plus a comprehensive benefits package. (Classification - Coordinator ll).

This position is covered by the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees (AUPE) Collective Agreement.
