Sous Chef, Jasper Skytram

• Supervise training and cross-training of kitchen staff.
• Recommend and implement new food preparation policies and procedures.
• Report maintenance and repair needs to Head Chef.
• Oversee and participate in food preparation, ensuring quality, quantity, and presentation standards.
• Check food for taste, temperature, and appearance.
• Supervise food presentation and return.
• Store food properly to prevent contamination.
• Ensure guest satisfaction with special food requests.
• Supervise the creation of attractive food displays.
• Promote teamwork across departments for positive relations.
• Ensure staff and work area safety.
• Verify orders received for quantity and quality of product.
• Monitor raw and cooked food quality.
• Assist with staff development and training.

• Journeymen's Red Seal, or equivalent preferred.
• 3 years' experience in a similar role and sized operation.
• Experience working in a remote setting an asset, but not required.
• Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods of time in both an indoor and outdoor environment at high altitudes. Be prepared for all weather conditions (Snow, Rain, Wind, Hail) as the restaurant is at the top of Whistler's Mountain.
