Job Description

The Electrical Supervisor is a key role to ensure the day-to-day operation at the Lake Louise Ski Resort runs smoothly and efficiently. The Electrical Supervisor directs a crew of Electricians to maintain the operation of ski lifts and lodges. Along with maintaining resort assets, the Electrical Supervisor is also involved in new projects as the resort undergoes a period of capital investment and expansion. The supervisor will also be responsible for hiring, training and providing ongoing motivation and direction to department employees to ensure morale and productivity levels are maintained.

Wage: $47.85 per hour


Job Responsibilities:

  • Active involvement in the routine and non-routine maintenance as well as upgrades to all ski lifts, lodges and buildings, this involves a considerable amount of outdoor, on-mountain tasks
  • Follow OH&S responsibility and requirements of the electrical department
  • Troubleshoot Low Voltage Control systems and PLCs
  • Manage and expand the existing preventative maintenance system
  • Maintain accurate record keeping of routine inspections, maintenance, and projects
  • Assign and follow work orders and projects
  • Work closely with all other maintenance departments as well as provide support for all other operational departments
  • Communication link to management for department employees
  • Coordinate electrical projects and hire contractors as required

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Valid journeyperson electrical certification with strong trade skills
  • PLC, AC/DC motor and drive experience is required
  • Ski lift experience is an asset
  • Minimum 2-3 years previous supervisory experience
  • A friendly and professional manner
  • Strong knowledge of workplace safety requirements and procedures
  • Valid Driver’s license (with abstract provided)
  • Must have the ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
  • Adhere to OH&S responsibility and requirements of the electrical department
  • Must possess accurate verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good physical condition as this position requires some heavy lifting, standing for long periods
  • Able to prioritize tasks for efficiency
  • A three-month probationary period applies
  • A police background check, from your home country or province, will be required upon commencement of employment


Work Schedule:

7:00am - 5:30pm
