Job Description

Fairmont Spa at Chateau Lake Louise is a beautifully renovated spa that reopened its doors in February 2024. We are seeking a talented Registered Massage Therapist to join our team. If you are passionate about guest service, eager to be a part of something special and, ready to contribute to the success of a premier spa, we want to hear from you.

As a registered massage therapist on our team you will have the opportunity to work in a fresh, upscale environment and offer top-notch services to our guests. Join us in setting the standard for exceptional spa experiences.

What you will be doing:

Reporting to the Spa Director, responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Ability to perform all massage, body and applicable add on treatments offered on the menu according to protocols
  • Interacts cooperatively with other team members to provide a seamless guest experience
  • Discovers guests’ needs and makes appropriate treatment and home care recommendations
  • Presents warm, gracious and professional persona toward guests and co-workers
  • Adheres to a high professional image standard such as dress, appearance, language, and lifestyle
  • Practices the highest standard of sanitation, neatness, and visual presentation
  • Assists with linen stocking, laundry and spa cleaning
  • Maintains treatment room inventory and other organizational tasks
  • Sets and achieves goals and targets

Qualifications

Your skillset includes:

  • Previous experience as a massage therapist required
  • Graduated from a recognized Massage Therapy College in a minimum 2200 hour program
  • Must be registered in good standing with a recognized massage therapy association in Alberta
  • All professional licenses are to be current
  • CPR and First Aid certification is required
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • Highly responsible and reliable, demonstrating initiative as required
  • Proven ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced, team-based environment

Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role, including but not limited to:

  • Frequent standing and walking throughout shift
  • Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
  • Occasional ascending or descending stairs and ramps
