Job Description:

The Transportation Supervisor is responsible for supervising the transportation services and activities of the Lake Louise Ski Resort. In summer, this consists of shuttles to and from Lake Louise and Moraine Lake, in addition to staff transportation. The position must oversee all safety procedures and ensure they are being adhered to at all times. Additional responsibilities include supervising transportation staff, performing management duties when required, conduct employee performance reviews and assist with department growth and development.

**The successful candidate must have a valid drivers license; previous Winter driving experience; a driver's abstract and a claims experience letter from a previous insurer stating 3 years claims-free**


Job Responsibilities

  • Overseeing all aspects of the Banff to Lake Louise transportation
  • Managing the proper amount of buses for all of the guests requiring transportation
  • Supervising staff consisting of hosts and drivers
  • Working hand in hand with the bus companies to ensure all buses are on schedule
  • You will also be responsible for maintaining all log sheets, and scheduling of staff.
  • Must ensure vehicle safety and maintenance checks are completed
  • Coordinate with company personnel for the purpose of implementing and maintaining transportation services and programs
  • Coordinate driving routes and schedules for drivers; schedule route changes when necessary
  • Arrange for substitute or stand-by drivers to cover absences to ensure adequate driving coverage
  • Conduct seasonal employee performance reviews and evaluations - ensure to address poor performance related issues, if required

Job Requirements:

  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Knowledge of the Bow Valley
  • An ability to trouble shoot and problem solve quickly
  • Detail oriented
  • Enthusiasm for winter pursuits
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Internet Explorer and Outlook Express is an asset
  • Customer service oriented
  • Previous Supervisor experience preferred
  • Class 4 drivers license (or willing to obtain) and clean drivers abstract

Work Schedule:

4 days on/3 days off

Outdoor jacket (rental), uniform shirt provided at cost, outdoor pants and personal clothing following appearance standards
