We are accepting applications expressing interest to work in our Emergency Warming Centre. Please see the Employee Notification emailed on November 12, 2024 for further information on hours of work, etc.
This vital role is responsible to help keep the Warming Centre clean and tidy under what can be difficult circumstances. Having experience working with the unhoused can provide much needed insight to some of the daily challenges faced, while maintaining care and compassion for the people we assist. Ensuring safety protocols and procedures are adhered to are essential while carefully cleaning restrooms, etc.
Requirements for this role include the ability to problem solve and take initiative in addressing issues while working with disadvantaged and potentially challenging people in a diverse environment. Experience working in a Warming Centre is ideal. Additionally, we require a valid BC Drivers Licence.
