The RBC Dominion Securities branch located in Courtenay, BC is looking for a resourceful, empathetic, and collaborative individual to join our leading wealth management firm as a Marketing Associate.

By providing ongoing, exceptional service and support to our clients and our Advisor team, you will help our team deepen existing relationships and welcome new clients to the firm. Offering efficient internal support, you will be invaluable in ensuring the Advisory team functions fluidly and that each member receives the assistance they need to perform at their best.

*This is a 1 year contract position*


What will you do?

Business Development and Marketing:

  • Executes targeted marketing campaigns and ensures the team is consistently engaging with stakeholders.
  • Develops and maintains COI list, reviews, updates, and re-segments as necessary.
  • Creates marketing content and materials to be posted publicly online and shared privately in client specific meetings.
  • Drawing on your social media skills to update the team's communication channels, including websites, LinkedIn, Facebook, brochures, newsletters.
  • Conducts on going research to identify marketing trends that the team can leverage to further their marketing efforts

Client Communication and Experience:

  • Manages and executes on all gifts and milestone recognitions as outlined in the team's Client service plans and tracks client specific hobbies and interests.
  • Manages the website on an ongoing basis and performs an annual review to ensure content is u-to-date, links are intact, ect.
  • Assist in booking regularly scheduled client update calls.

Event Management:

  • Assists in planning events from start to finish according to requirements, target audience and objectives.
  • Manages all aspects of coordinating site management (ie: site selection, event layout, logistics and planning and onsite communications, etc.). Oversees activities of external partners ensuring a seamless coordination on event day.
  • Ensures events are executed smoothly and resolves any unforeseen problems that might occur on event day

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Previous sales, marketing, and event management experience as well as previous financial services experience would be an asset.
  • High level of time management and organization skills
  • Able to lead projects and is comfortable with managing and prioritizing multiple projects in parallel.
  • Is self-driven and dedicated to team player who enjoys participating in the creative process and working with others to develop innovative ideas
  • Solution oriented attitude capable of rapidly adjusting when faced with unexpected and urgent demands.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English

Be Proficient in

  • Digital and social media platforms
  • Using Canva, Adobe Pro (illustrator, photoshop, etc..) and basic skills in video editing software
  • Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Work, Excel, and PowerPoint).

The expected salary for this role will be $40,000 per year depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate's experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs.
