We are looking to fill the position of Parking Lot Supervisor at Fernie Alpine Resort. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall organization and management of parking operations to ensure a smooth and efficient experience for guests. This role involves supervising parking attendants, coordinating traffic flow, maintaining safety protocols, and delivering exceptional guest service. You Will:

  • Oversee and schedule parking attendants to ensure proper coverage.
  • Train, coach, and support the team to provide efficient and courteous service.
  • Monitor staff performance and provide feedback as necessary.
  • Organize and direct vehicle flow within parking lots for optimal use of space.
  • Monitor and enforce parking policies, ensuring compliance with resort guidelines.
  • Respond to incidents or emergencies in the parking area, including managing weather-related conditions.
  • Inspect parking lots regularly to ensure cleanliness and operational readiness.
  • Greet guests warmly and provide clear directions to parking areas.
  • Address guest inquiries or complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Ensure the parking lot team delivers a welcoming and positive experience for all visitors.
  • Maintain accurate records of parking operations, including staffing and incident reports.
  • Collaborate with management to develop and implement parking strategies for peak periods.
  • Assist in budgeting and resource allocation for parking lot operations.
  • Adhere to the Resorts of the Canadian Rockies guidelines and policies.
  • Know and follow all safe work procedures included in the Safety Management Program
  • Know and comply with all expectations of the Injury Management/Return-to-Work Programs

You Have:

  • Previous experience in a supervisory role, preferably in parking or operations management.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations and make decisions under pressure.
  • Knowledge of safety and traffic management protocols (an asset).
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including extreme cold or snow.
  • Physically able to stand, walk, and manage equipment for extended periods.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and peak operation times.
  • Proficiency with basic administrative tools, such as scheduling software and reporting systems.
This is a full-time role, 4 x 10 hour shifts, Thursday to Sunday.
