This seasonal job is posted as part of our recruitment for Spring / summer hiring, with start dates in April/May until September/October.

What will your compensation be?

The salary for the role with be $50,000 CAD, please note this is an annualized salary as this is not a year round position.

What will you do in this job?

  • Reporting to the Guest Experience Manager, The Assistant Guest Experience Manage will be responsible for improving line management, health and safety, programming, cleanliness and overall guest experience.

  • Manage day-to-day operations of Ticket Offices through out the Golden Skybridge..

  • Support, coach and ensure that each member of the Guest Experience team provides an upbeat and professional guest service that goes above and beyond our guests expectations

  • Ensure all guest areas are kept clean by embracing the Pursuit Value to Honour Place Managing lines ensuring positive guests experiences

  • Leading the team to manage both the arrival and departure of guests ensuring a world class impression

  • Ensuring all staff are knowledgeable, by providing each visitor with the highest quality experience and by maximizing revenue through sales of all our products and services

  • Directing, leading and supporting the Guest Experience team

  • Hiring, Training, orientation and evaluation of all Guest Experience employees

  • Maintain positive working relationships with tour companies, suppliers and other departments

  • Ensure all guest experience employees adhere to corporate grooming standards and enforce the highest level of presentation and professional conduct

  • Ensure smooth operation of computer systems and arranging for repairs as needed, act as an on-site contact for Guest Experience IT systems

  • Assist in overseeing the daily reconciliation of cash reports and applicable corrections and adjustments. As well as any payroll needs, with regards to labour.

  • Ensure cash security by enforcing policies and authorized access to the safes and safe cash handling procedures in the ticketing areas

  • Inform staff of new clients, payment procedures and special functions.

  • Health and Safety champion for the department, being a leader to all emergency and safety protocols

  • Manage staffing levels and department scheduling

  • Handing guest complaints

What skills and experience do you need for this job?

  • A minimum of two-three years supervisory/management experience with proven ability to manage a large team, including experience in payroll, scheduling, recognition, and progressive discipline
  • Employee training experience including POS, customer service and operational skills Strong organizational skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong customer focus providing friendly, professional and efficient service Effective problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Demonstrate high levels of positive energy and a willingness to take on new challenges
  • Strong communication and listening skills with local and international guests and staff, second language skills highly advantageous
  • Accuracy and efficiency in handling large cash/card transactions under fast-paced and busy conditions and experience with cash reconciliation
  • Passion for employee and guest safety
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel required) First Aid Training an asset
  • Meet and set a strong example for Pursuit grooming standards
  • Physical demands including constant use of hands, repetitive actions and speaking, sitting/standing for long periods of time, frequent bending/twisting, working outdoors, and may lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs
