Mascot & Events Representative

Location: Big White Ski Resort, Central Okanagan

Job Type: Part-time, expect 8-24 hours per week.

About the Role:

As a Mascot & Events Representative at Big White Ski Resort, you will be the life of our events, representing the resort in our famous 'The Loose Moose' mascot suit. This role is perfect for energetic, enthusiastic individuals who love interacting with the public and being part of dynamic team events.

Key Responsibilities:

- Execute and manage the setup and teardown of events organized by the Sales and Marketing team.
- Perform mascot duties during events and daily resort operations.
- Engage with the public, take photos, and perform mascot-specific gestures and dances.
- Assist in the creation and enhancement of engaging events.
- Maintain close communication with various departments to ensure seamless event delivery.
- Uphold excellent internal and external customer service standards.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
- Ability to work well within a diverse team and under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
-Comfortable engaging with the general public.

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to wear and perform in the mascot suit, meeting specific height and fitness requirements.
- Must be able to sit, stand, bend, kneel, and stretch for extended periods.
- Comfortable in confined spaces and able to perform energetically at events.
- Regularly lift and carry weights, and handle physical demands of event setups and teardowns.
