Job Summary:

The Base Operations Team Leaders will ensure the safe and efficient operation of Grouse Mountain's Red Skyride, Blue Gondola, parking lots, pay parking program. The Base Operations Team Leaders are also responsible for overseeing and maintaining the cleanliness of all offices, buildings, washrooms, grounds and gardens. assisting with coaching and training a team of up to 40 front line employees.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Leading the daily operations of both the Skyride and Gondola operations - ensuring maximum efficiency and safety.
  • Assisting with staff coaching, training, scheduling, and data entry.
  • Assisting and coordinating special requests, events, functions, and needs of all departments.
  • Implement, create, and revise training and emergency procedures and operational manuals.
  • Collecting and reporting visitor traffic and parking data.
  • Ensuring the cleanliness and safety of all base areas, washrooms, buildings, and grounds.
  • Implement emergency action planning in the event of adverse weather conditions, missing, lost or injured persons, tramway mechanical or electrical failure.
  • Assisting North Shore Rescue, RCMP, North Van District Fire BC Ambulance, and other agencies with emergency operations.

Required Qualifications and Abilities

  • Friendly, enthusiastic, and positive work ethic and attitude.
  • The ability to multitask, prioritize, and delegate duties accordingly.
  • The ability to thrive in a high-volume, challenging environment.
  • Innovative thinking and problem-solving techniques.
  • The ability to work in a variety of weather conditions. (4 season resort)
  • Must be physically fit and able to lift 50+ pounds.
  • Knowledge in basic office skills.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience an asset.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Starting at $19.26/hour - $22.53/hour
