Job Summary:

Imagine spending your summer inspiring the next generation of mountain bikers! Grouse Mountain Resorts is seeking Mountain Bike Guides who excel at teaching children and leading multi-day camps. If you love biking, enjoy working with kids, and are ready to create unforgettable memories in a stunning outdoor environment, we want you on our team for the summer 2025 season.

Essential Job Functions:

• Teach the Basics and Beyond: Lead engaging lessons designed specifically for children and youth, focusing on building skills, confidence, and a love for biking.
• Lead Multi-Day Camps: Facilitate fun, educational, and safe biking camps that keep kids coming back for more.
• Create a Fun Environment: Use games, challenges, and positive reinforcement to make every ride an adventure.
• Ensure Safety First: Maintain a strong focus on safety, ensuring all equipment is in excellent condition and trail rules are followed.
• Be a Role Model: Inspire young riders with your enthusiasm, patience, and expertise.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no direct supervisory responsibility.

Required Qualifications and Abilities

• You’re a PMBIA Level 1-certified (required) biking pro with a knack for connecting with kids and youth.
• You have a 20hr First Aid Certificate (preferred)
• You’ve got experience leading lessons or camps, and you know how to keep young riders engaged and excited.
• Your customer service skills are top-notch, and you thrive in creating positive guest experiences.
• You’re adaptable, energetic, and ready to work outdoors in all conditions.
• You’ve completed high school (or equivalent) and are available from July to September 2025.
• Have appropriate physical fitness to take on all assignments
• Be fluent in all aspects of the English language (spoken and written)
• Be able to work in inclement weather in an alpine environment
• Have sight, speech, and hearing abilities sufficient to learn skills, follow and provide directions.
• Available to work five days a week, including evenings, weekends & holidays
• Successful applicants over the age of 19 will be required to provide results of a clear background check valid within six months of the hire date before starting work. Grouse Mountain will assist with this process if the applicant does not have a valid background check.

Compensation and Benefits

Starting at $22.00/hour - $29.77/hour
