Job Summary:

Imagine spending your summer inspiring the next generation of mountain bikers! Grouse Mountain Resorts is seeking Mountain Bike Guides who excel at teaching children and leading multi-day camps. If you love biking, enjoy working with kids, and are ready to create unforgettable memories in a stunning outdoor environment, we want you on our team for the summer 2025 season.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Lead and Inspire: Supervise a team of bike guides, fostering a positive and professional work environment.
  • Oversee Operations: Manage the scheduling, coordination, and execution of lessons and multi-day camps for both children and adults.
  • Ensure Safety Standards: Uphold safety protocols and ensure all staff and guests adhere to trail rules and equipment guidelines.
  • Support Your Team: Provide coaching, feedback, and support to guides to ensure top-quality instruction and guest experiences.
  • Handle Challenges: Address guest concerns, resolve issues promptly, and maintain a calm, solutions-focused demeanor under pressure.
  • Monitor Performance: Evaluate program success and identify opportunities for improvement.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has direct supervisory responsibilities over the following positions; Camps Instructor, Daily Lessons Instructor, Assistant Instructor

Required Qualifications and Abilities

  • You have 1+ years of proven supervisory or leadership experience, ideally in outdoor recreation or education.
  • You're a PMBIA Level 1-certified biking professional with a deep understanding of mountain biking instruction (required)
  • You possess a current 40 hr First Aid Certificate (required)
  • You excel in time management and can juggle multiple responsibilities effectively.
  • You remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
  • You're an excellent communicator who can motivate and support a team.
  • You're passionate about teaching and mentoring, especially when it comes to young riders.
  • Have appropriate physical fitness to take on all assignments
  • Be fluent in all aspects of the English language (spoken and written)
  • Be able to work in inclement weather in an alpine environment
  • Have sight, speech, and hearing abilities sufficient to learn skills, follow and provide directions.
  • Available to work five days a week, including evenings, weekends & holidays
  • Successful applicants over the age of 19 will be required to provide results of a clear background check valid within six months of the hire date before starting work. Grouse Mountain will assist with this process if the applicant does not have a valid background check.

Compensation and Benefits

Starting at $24.26/hour - $29.77/hour
