JOB SUMMARY

The Retail Supervisor's primary role is to drive outstanding guest service in our retail spaces. The Supervisor will lead our associates and Team Leaders in ensuring service targets are met, our stores are well merchandised, and day-to-day tasks are completed. They will deliver outstanding and memorable experiences for our customers and teams, acting as experts on the mountain - ready to answer any questions or jump in and help where they can.

Essential Job Functions

  • Take ownership of inventory management systems
  • Accountable for all stock receiving processes
  • New item list creation and product data entry
  • Collaborate with Accounts department on vendor invoice reconciliation
  • Supervise and train staff in receiving and stickering of stock
  • Physically load and unload incoming/outgoing stock consignments
  • Manage and process vendor returns and customer warranty claims
  • Cover in-store sales shifts as required by demand/staffing availability
  • Conduct daily store operations and other related duties as assigned by management
  • Assist management during sales events, staff purchase nights and inventory count
  • Maintain current and in-depth knowledge of mountain services, promotions and policies
  • Uphold and exceed industry Manual Handling + Health & Safety standards
  • Participate in on-going training and coaching initiatives
  • Maintain a professional and well-presented persona suitable for the Tourism industry
  • Other duties as required

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position provides direct supervision and leadership to the Retail Associates and Team Leads.

Required Qualifications and Abilities

  • Able to work regular 8 hour shifts within store operating hours of 9am to 10pm
  • Highly organised and methodical approach to work
  • Above average attention to detail and problem solving initiative
  • Mathematical competence an asset
  • Experience in accounts reconciliation and/or inventory management preferred
  • Experience in outdoor retail an asset
  • Excellent communication in English, verbally and in writing
  • Intermediate to Advanced ability in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Must be physically fit and able to lift ~40lbs/20kg loads
  • The successful candidate must complete a criminal record check once offered the position. This check must be completed prior to start date if you are 19 years and older. Grouse Mountain will assist you with the process.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Hours of Operation are weather dependant. Due to the nature of the business, this position requires flexibility in terms of your work schedule. A variety of work schedules may include a variety of start times, including shifts on weekends and statutory holidays. Shifts require standing for long periods of time, lifting, twisting, and other forms of manual tasks.

Compensation and Benefits

$21.62/hour up to $25.28/hour
