Description:

The main function of our Timberline Traverse Aerial Guide is to provide an atmosphere in which our guests can safely step out of their comfort zone and enjoy our high ropes courses and other elevated obstacles. Our guides will help guest navigate the aerial tower by providing clear instructions, monitoring activities, and offering encouragement to create a fun and adventurous experience for participants.

Essential Functions:

  • Guide guests through the Timberline Traverse tower.
  • Be able to efficiently and correctly gear up guests.
  • Accurately inspect, record, and maintain safety equipment.
  • Maintain a high level of attention and focus throughout the day to effectively manage guest safety.
  • Instruct guests on the basic abilities needed to help navigate through the aerial tower.
  • Keep guests comfortable and engaged during their visit.
  • Utilize clear and professional communications to ensure smooth operations.
  • Assist in transporting guests and supplies to and from the course as needed.
  • Maintain rescue skills and be able to maintain proficiency under adverse or stressful conditions.
  • Identify, manage, and actively mitigate risks to both guests and staff by utilizing best practices.
  • Identify proper use and limitations of equipment, safety lines, rescue kits, and course components.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Incident Response tactics.
  • Focus on professional, respectful, and engaging coaching techniques.
  • Allow guests to embrace “challenge by choice” experience.

Experience/Requirements:

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.
  • Maintain a friendly and professional attitude at work.
  • Prior experience with outdoor recreation, athletics, educational roles, high ropes instructor experience, or ziplining is a plus but not required.
  • Candidates must have the physical capability to perform technical rescues and assist guests of various sizes throughout the course.
  • Enthusiastic and energetic team player able to work in a dynamic outdoor environment.

  • Punctual, trustworthy and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Minimal fear of heights and be able to walk up and down 4 set of stairs several times a day.
  • First Aid certification
