Description:

You are comfortable and confident in crowd control for a busy bar that is often at capacity. You can defuse any confrontational situation while maintaining a cool and calm demeanour. Your knowledge of the resort and ability to deal with guests will help you succeed in our company goals and mandate.

Essential Functions:

• Deliver a "above and beyond" attitude to all guests while generating a feeling of being in the friendliest atmosphere on the planet.
• Control the atmosphere and intoxication levels in the bar.
• Ensure all patrons are of legal drinking age by requesting & inspecting identification.
• Watch and be alert for the potential of aggressive behaviour from patrons.
• Efficiently and professionally diffuse any fights or altercations ASAP.
• Restrict or refuse admittance to patrons who are intoxicated.
• Assist with the set-up and clean-up of bar.
• Learn knowledge of safety and security procedures for our operation and the resort.
• Take tickets or cash for special events and bands.
• Control number of patrons entering to keep within the liquor license limit.
• Do what is necessary to ensure the safety of guests and staff alike.
• Work closely with resort security to maintain a fun, safe environment.
• Help with table maintenance in the room and assist bar staff when required.

Experience/Requirements:

• Secondary Education Diploma or Equivalent
• Minimum two years of bouncer experience in a nightclub atmosphere.
• Able to diffuse and handle volatile situations and intoxicated patrons
• Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours and carry 50 lbs. Able to remove any person from the Saloons premises.
