Under the general direction of the Director, Food & Beverage, the Manager, Food & Beverage or the Manager, Casino F&B, this position is responsible for overseeing the day to day activities of the Food and Beverage operations at the site level on a shift basis. Provides input for Performance Evaluations. Implements new F&B initiatives as directed. Ensures adherence to the Company's policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and supports Great Canadian's learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.
Key Accountabilities
Schedules and supervises team members; verifies time and attendance; assig ns shift work assignments; ensures appropriate coverage while minimizing operating costs as directed
Implements new F&B initiatives as directed
Monitors cash outs and forwards discrepancy reports to management/accounting
Comp letes shift reports for management and for the next shift
Monitors staff meals (if applicable)
Organizes and participates in the monthly inventory count and forwards inventory reports to management
Offers food and beverage ex pertise to internal and external customers
Liaises and communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments
Develops and cultivates strong working relationships with all stakeholders: guests, ownership, team membe rs and vendors
Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations

Manages other initiatives as required
Education and Qualifications
Post Secondary education in hospitality or suitable combination of education and experience
Minimum 1 year food and beverage team lead experience
Food Safety c ertification
Serving it Right, Smart Serve or IGB Certification n
Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective and service oriented communication
Computer literacy in MS Office
POS experience
Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License
Work Environment Considerations
Regular office, restaurant and casino environment, standing or walking for long periods of time, some exposure to noise, odors, some exposure to verbal abuse, some travel, non-traditional work hours
