River Rock Casino Resort is recruiting for a driven, skilled and detail orientated Shift Manager, Surveillance to join our team. This position is responsible for coordinating and leading the surveillance operations by monitoring, reporting and providing recommendations relating to all activities to best safeguard all assets and provide a safe environment for all team members and guests. The Shift Manager, Surveillance will ensure the highest level of compliances of all regulatory requirements, internal policies and procedures, while supporting and fostering an environment based on growth and development.

The Successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:

  • Providing leadership and direction to the surveillance operation at the site level on a shift basis; providing input for team members performance objectives and evaluations
  • Assisting with the implementation of surveillance operation strategic plans
  • Scheduling and supervising team members; verifying timesheets; assigning shift work assignments
  • Monitoring, documenting and reporting violations, large cash and cash equivalent transactions, excluded and self-excluded guests, and unauthorized access
  • Maintaining logs; updating records; storing records securely for evidence purposes
  • Monitoring, documenting and reporting on the condition of surveillance facilities and equipment; maintaining a preventative maintenance schedule
  • Dispatching security as required
  • Reviewing special investigation results or requests as directed; provides reporting

The Successful candidates will demonstrate the following qualifications:

  • Post-Secondary education in criminology or suitable combination of education and experience an asset
  • Minimum 5 years of surveillance and/or security experience; minimum 2 years supervisory experience; gaming experience preferred
  • Responsible beverage service certification where required
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Keen eye for detail, with the ability to focus on monitors for long periods of time
  • Possess a high level of honesty and integrity
  • Adherence to high standards, methods and procedures
  • Knowledge of the Gaming Control Act, GCE & BCLC Policies and Procedures
  • Background experience in Criminology an asset
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Goal oriented

Candidates must be ready and willing to work a flexible schedule, including graveyards, weekends and holidays. The hours of work will be based on operational and business needs.
