About Gold’s Gym West Broadway

This location is located just just 2 black away from the Broadway City Hall sky train station. Tucked under the Holiday Inn, the facility is 18,000 sqft - Featuring an amazing assortment of your favorite lifting equipment - Including pin and plate loaded machines, racks and platforms, cardio equipment and other specialty pieces not found at other gyms.

The Gold’s Gym brand has been the authority on fitness since 1965. It was then that fitness legend Joe Gold took the knowledge and expertise he gained from training at the world famous “Muscle Beach” and opened up the first Gold’s Gym on Pacific Avenue in Venice, California. We are searching for a week day opener to join our team -

What we need from you
  • Service driven with an enthusiastic attitude.
  • Previous customer service experience required.
  • High school diploma required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Valid First Aid certification an asset.
  • Fluent in English - Ability to speak other languages an asset.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.).
  • Knowledge of cash handling / previous experience with POS terminals.
  • Ability work both alone and in groups.
  • Critical thinking / problem solving skills.
  • Must have reliable transportation (vehicle) OR live within walking distance of 709 West Broadway.
Time of Work - Must be available 3 days (can work up to 5 days open/mids)
  • Must be available to open TUESDAY/THURSDAY 4:45am-9:45am/10:45am.
  • Must be available to work 1 weekend day / one other weekday before 5pm.
  • Training shifts will be early mid day for the first 7-10 days of employment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Greet members and guest enthusiastically to encourage a positive culture at the club.
  • Promptly ensure that customer inquiries are resolved professionally and thoroughly via telephone, e-mail and in person encounters.
  • Monitor member check-ins / Check-in guests ensuring all policies and processes are
  • Ensure that guests and appointments are directed to the appropriate employee/department in a prompt, professional manner.
  • Complete all guest check in procedures.
  • Efficiently and effective input and update daily cash reconciliation documents
  • Process point of sale items, such as retail and concession sales.
  • Check in all members and guests using the proper registration procedures.
  • Distribute membership cards, parking decals, towels, child-minding tickets, and other materials as needed.
