POSITION SUMMARY:

The Manager, Digital Marketing will lead the digital marketing strategy for all entities within Canucks Sports & Entertainment (CSE). They will oversee a team of specialists to manage and enhance the digital customer journey across web, mobile, email, SMS, and paid to deliver on company objectives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Enhance the digital customer journey across web, mobile/app, email, SMS, and paid (no organic social or content creation) utilizing Salesforce Marketing Cloud and other integrated CRM SAAS
  • Manage team of specialists to execute and optimize digital strategy
  • Create and evolve web and mobile strategy that modernizes the way we engage with fans with a specific focus on user experience and flow across all CSE websites and our mobile app
  • Collaborate with the Business Intelligence team to manage the organisation's CRM, creating a 360 view of each of our fans, in order to support segmentation and prospecting
  • Evolve CSE email strategy with emphasis on balancing information and entertainment with transactions whilst ensuring our communications are CASL compliant.
  • Provide tactical marketing expertise to internal CSE teams, media partners, and stakeholders, including providing input into project briefs, creative strategies, and messaging
  • Support paid strategy to focus on full funnel advertising including evergreen and targeted campaigns that best leverage dynamic creative
  • Promote culture of iteration, testing, and data-driven decision making
  • Lead digital reporting, key learnings, and iterative execution process

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field such as business, communications or marketing
  • Minimum three years of experience in the development, execution, and evaluation of large, multichannel online and offline marketing programs
  • Proven experience using Salesforce Marketing Cloud (or a similar marketing automation platform) to execute multi-channel campaigns, audience segmentation, automation, and performance analysis
  • Experience setting up and managing revenue tracking through platforms such as Google Analytics, translating data into actions and digestible insights for stakeholders with varying levels of digital knowledge
  • Experience working in paid media and email marketing specifically in promotions and marketing
  • Proven project management skills, including planning tasks, time management, budget management, and monitoring and reporting
  • Strong knowledge of digital marketing best practices and creative optimization strategies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to make critical decisions independently without supervision, with sound judgement and confidence
  • Proactive and resourceful attitude with an ability to "make things happen" and a work ethic with a desire to contribute maximum effort to achieving team goals and revenue targets
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as required by event and promotions schedule
