Role Description

Reporting to the Marketing Director, The Marketing Coordinator will support the marketing department in the execution of marketing activities designed to tell the Oakridge Park story while simultaneously laying the groundwork in advance of Centre opening in 2025 (grand opening event planning; interim programming efforts; holiday décor procurement; development of marketing collateral/leasing materials; website development; etc.).

Ultimately when open, the Marketing Coordinator will continue supporting the marketing department by elevating the Oakridge Park brand, highlighting tenant mix and offering, planning and executing marketing events, and increasing foot traffic thereby positively impacting retail sales to the Centre. The Marketing Coordinator will actively support event planning and execution, website content creation and management, and will coordinate Oakridge Park’s social media platforms.

About Oakridge Park

Working with Canadian developer, Westbank, we are reimagining Oakridge Centre, a top performing asset in a global city, with the goal of transforming it into a major cultural hub and new municipal town centre for the City of Vancouver. The new Oakridge Park will be a mixed-use, transit-oriented neighbourhood hub that will offer 900,000 sq.ft. of unique, experiential retail plus, office space, residential towers, a public park, a civic centre, a new library, a daycare, a seniors’ centre, a dance school, a world-class performing arts academy, a music venue, performance space and a community centre.

From a retail perspective, if you thought Oakridge Centre was Vancouver’s “most stylish destination” before, just you wait! Things are about to get even more stylish plus . . . more delish. As part of the future proposition, Oakridge’s retail component will see an overhaul that will render it unrecognizable, its footprint doubling in size to almost one million square feet. When it opens in 2025, visitors to the Centre (expected to reach over 26 million per year) can expect a carefully curated collection of best-in-class retailers from around the globe including unique luxury brands and services, flagship boutiques and some first-to-market tenants -- all seamlessly integrated with an exceptional culinary experience with Time Out Market.

Oakridge Park is not only one of the single biggest developments in Vancouver’s history; it’s also one of the most monumental redevelopments currently underway in North America given its sheer scale, ground breaking design and overall ambition.
