Reports to: Manager, Fan Experience

POSITION SUMMARY:

Tour guides are responsible for conducting public and group tour of Rogers Arena. This includes greeting and engaging guests, assisting with taking walk-in bookings and working closely with the Retail team. This is a part-time, hourly position. A typical shift includes:

  • Conducting public and group tours of Rogers Arena
  • Greeting and engaging guests
  • Preparing and organizing for scheduled group tours
  • Assisting with taking payment
  • Addressing and resolving guest concerns in the moment
  • Assisting with data entry, tour bookings, and following up with clients as required
  • Other duties as required

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous experience in the customer service industry; experience as a tour guide is an asset
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet the needs of the business (with tours routinely conducted Wednesday through Sunday between 10am and 4:30pm)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and problem solving skills with a positive, friendly demeanour
  • Strong English language verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfortable speaking engagingly, clearly, and audibly to large groups of people
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of and/or interest in sports and entertainment events
  • Non-Canadian residents must hold a valid work permit expiring no earlier than October 2025
  • Extensive knowledge about Vancouver and local area is an asset
  • Successful completion of customer service training is an asset (i.e., hospitality or tourism)
