Under the general direction of the Manager, Cage Operations, this position is responsible for overseeing the Cage Operations on a shift basis at the site level. Provides input for performance objectives and evaluations. Assists with the implementation all new Cage Operations initiatives. Ensures adherence to the Company's policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and supports Great Canadian's learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.
Key Accountabilities
Provides leadership, direction and mentoring to the Cage
Operations on a shift basis at the site level; provides input for team member performance objectives and evaluations
Schedules and supervises team members; verifies timesheets; assigns shift work assignments
Assists with the implementation of Cage Operation strategic plans
Trains Cage team members
Reviews Cage records for accuracy; prepares reports
Monitors and reports all discrepancies and suspicious cash activities
Witnesses and verifies Cage transactions when required
Responds to and resolves cage issues as escalated
Liaises and communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments
Develops and cultivates strong working relationships with all stakeholders: guests, management and team members
Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
Performs other duties as assigned or directed
Education and Qualifications
Post Secondary education in Business/Finance or a suitable combination of education and experience an asset
Minimum 2 years of experience in gaming supervision
Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays
Serving it Right Certification
Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective and service oriented communication
Computer literacy in MS Office
Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License
Work Environment Considerations
Regular casino and cage environment, standing or sitting for long periods of time, non-traditional work hours
