True North Sports + Entertainment is seeking a dynamic leader with a passion for hospitality to oversee and elevate food and beverage experiences for guests.

As a Director, Hospitality Operations, you will lead food and beverage services at Canada Life Centre and The Burton Cummings Theatre, driving operational excellence, guest experience, and process optimization. This role focuses on translating strategic goals into seamless execution, maintaining high standards, and fostering an inclusive and respectful workplace culture.

What to be excited for in this role:

  • Collaborate closely with Hospitality leaders to implement strategic initiatives and align operational efforts with organizational goals.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain processes and standards that enhance efficiency, quality, and consistency across all food and beverage offerings.
  • Partner with department leaders to ensure staffing levels, training programs, and employee engagement efforts support a high-performance environment.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations, upholding the highest standards of food safety and guest well-being.
  • Analyze feedback from guests and team members to drive innovation and continuous improvement, enhancing overall service delivery.
  • Monitor operational performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement best practices that optimize revenue and guest satisfaction.
  • Work hand-in-hand with marketing, guest experience, and event teams to create dynamic and memorable hospitality experiences that boost fan engagement.
  • Lead by example, fostering an inclusive and respectful workplace culture that encourages collaboration, accountability, and professional growth.

What we need from you:

  • A degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field, as an asset.
  • At least 5 to 7 years of leadership experience in high-volume food and beverage operations, ideally within sports, entertainment, or large-scale hospitality venues.
  • Expertise in quick-service, premium dining, and catering operations, with a passion for delivering top-tier hospitality experiences.
  • In-depth knowledge of health, safety, and food service regulations, ensuring the highest standards of compliance and guest safety.
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to translate vision into tangible operational success.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • The highest level of personal and professional integrity and ethics.
  • Financial acumen, including experience with budgeting, cost control, and operational analysis to drive efficiency and profitability.
  • A commitment to fostering an inclusive, respectful, and collaborative workplace culture where employees thrive.
  •  Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and event days as required by business needs.
