We are seeking a passionate and skilled Community Support and Communication Coordinator to join our team at KENT Building Supplies. This role will play a pivotal part in enhancing our community engagement initiatives and ensuring effective communication with our diverse customer base.

Responsibilities

· Community Support:

o Develop and implement community support programs to strengthen KENT's presence in local communities.

o Establish partnerships with local organizations, charities, and community groups to support KENT's community outreach efforts.

o Plan and organize events, sponsorships, and volunteer activities to positively impact the communities we serve.

o Collaborate with internal teams to identify and address community needs and concerns.

o Manage store Point of Sale donation campaigns.

· Communication Coordination:

o Create and manage communication strategies to enhance the visibility of KENT Building Supplies within the community.

o Develop content for various communication channels, including social media and internal company channels.

o Act as a liaison between the company and the community partners.

o Monitor online platforms and engage with customers to build positive relationships and address issues promptly.

· Collaboration and Reporting:

o Collaborate with marketing, operations, and customer service teams to align community support and communication efforts with overall business objectives.

o Compile and analyze data related to community engagement and communication effectiveness.

o Prepare regular reports and updates for management, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and areas for improvement.

Qualifications

  • Post Secondary in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in community outreach, event planning, or related roles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and online community management.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
