We are currently seeking Food Service Workers to join the Dining Services team at Memorial University! As a Food Service Worker on our team of service stars, you'll support our culinary team in preparing a variety of items for the students, faculty and staff of Memorial University to enjoy, providing that exceptional guest experience the MUN Dining Services team is known for!

This is a union position with NAPE. This position is part-time, with the possibility of leading to full-time. Job Responsibilities

• Prepares all food items using prep lists and standard Aramark recipes.
• Follows proper food handling procedures.
• Serve food items to guests, providing exceptional customer service experience
• Manages leftover foods correctly; cover, label, date, and accurately store according to Aramark standards.
• Maintains clean and orderly refrigerators and work areas.
• Ensures stations are cleaned, sanitized, and organized at the end of the shift (including cleaning of kitchen equipment).
• Maintains a safe and sanitary work environment that conforms to all food safety standards and regulations.
• Follows safety policies and accident reporting procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in food service required
• Excellent customer service skills
• Team player, must be able to work as a part of a team and independently as required
• Flexible as some evening and weekend work may be required

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
