Description

Responsible for acquisition of various donations for COH including food. Arrange for transportation and sorting of food that provides safe reliable supplies for the kitchen and food bank. Maintain records as required of donations. To ensure maintenance duties as assigned are done on a timely and workman like manner, ensuring cost management is a priority. Engage volunteers to enhance services and ensure volunteers feel engaged and appreciated. Ensure vehicles are maintained on schedule and kept in a manner that represents TSA well.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensuring product is moved quickly and efficiently
  • Keep records of shipments
  • Ensure product rotation to control quality
  • Cleanliness of the Food Room
  • Leadership of volunteers who work with food packing or sorting or other donations
  • Communicate with team
  • Pick up local donations as required.
  • Assist with Food Bank
  • Support the CFS team with other tasks as assigned

Health & Safety:

  • Knowledge of cleaning/sanitation
  • Food Handling Course

Working Conditions:

It is an old building with some heating and cooling problems. Space is shared with other programs and can be distracting at times. May require, at times, driving in unfavorable weather conditions.

Hours of Work:

8:30am to 4:00 pm - Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday with a ½ hour unpaid lunch and two 15 minute paid breaks.

Wednesday 830-1130AM

Saturday 7AM-12PM

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Knowledge of cleaning/sanitation
  • Food Handling Course
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Completed High School
  • Good Team Player
  • Computer Literate

PREFERRED SKILLS/CAPABILITIES:

  • Strong Communication
  • Capable working with many vendors
  • Time Management
  • Heavy Lifting (up to 50 lb bags)
