Under the general supervision of the Gaming Operations Manager, this position is responsible for interacting and dealing with customer and team member inquiries related to the operation of machine gaming in our casino. Ensures adherence to the Company's policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and supports Great Canadian's learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.
Key Accountabilities
Acting as a front-line customer service liaison, answering questions, assisting with orientation of games and the facility - working to create a positive gaming experience for all our guests
Motivating, Developing and Supervising Slot Attendants on the floor
Participating in a professional, constructive and supportive environment for all Casino staff with an attention to open communication a nd a team concept
Providing prompt, courteous service to assure guests have an enjoyable gaming experience
Reporting issues to the Slot Shift Manager
Signing jackpots and cancelled credits
Clearing bill and ticket jams and checking game and voucher histories to maintain game integrity, answer questions and solve disputes
Actively seeking out and addressing customer needs and machine problems
Assisting with awareness of and excitement for on-going and up-coming Casino promotions
Working in compliance with internal controls, company policies and procedures and/or the governing policies and procedures; report any violations and escalate to the appropriate level as necessary Acquiring and maintaining a strong knowledge of all Slot operations policies and procedures
Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
Manages other initiatives as required
Education and Qualifications
1 year Slot experience preferred along with previous supervisory experience
Food Safety Certification
Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License
Strong oral and written communication skills
Manual dexterity, technical aptitude and trouble shooting ability is an asset
Basic knowledge of slot machine functions is an asset
Work Environment Considerations
Regular casino environment, standing for long periods of time, some exposure to noise, some exposure to verbal abuse, non-traditional work hours.
