Under the direct supervision of the Regional Facilities Manager, this position is responsible for daily cleaning and maintenance of all public areas of the hotel while contributing to a safe and welcoming work en vironment. Ensures adherence to the Company�s policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and supports Great Canadian�s learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.
Key Accountabilities
Vacuums hallways, ceiling vents, meeting rooms and general public areas including the pool and fitness room
Cleans and dusts fixtures, ash urns, walls, linen rooms, signs, sconces, stairwells, do orframes, public telephones, etc.
Transports clean and soiled linens to and from guest floors
Delivers housekeeping items to rooms as requested
Maintains all housekeeping storage areas
Rotates mattresses
Polishes ch rome and other materials requiring special care
Cleans offices at the hotel and other buildings
Liaises and communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments
Develops and cultivates strong working relation ships with all stakeholders (guests, ownership and team members)
Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
Performs other duties as assigned or directed
Education and Qualifications
High School Diploma
Minimum 1 year housekeeping/janitorial experience
Food Safety Certification
Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License
Work Environment Considerati ons
Standing or walking for long periods of time, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, stretching, cleaning, some exposure to heat and cold, some exposure to smoke, some exposure to verbal abuse, non-traditional work hours
