What you will do

Under the supervision and direction of the General Manager, the Front Desk Supervisor is a key team member of the Keskorie Boarding Home who will be instrumental in providing a warm welcome ensuring seamless transitions for our guests. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the well-being of Indigenous clients by providing culturally sensitive support and assistance throughout their stay at Keskorie Boarding Home. This is a perfect position if you are keen on customer service with a passion for ensuring inclusive care for individuals.

A Day in the Life

  • Greet guests upon arrival at the facility, ensuring a positive, welcoming and memorable experience.
  • Assist with other related front desk duties such as answering telephones, data entry, filing, reviewing case reports as required.
  • Coordinate with Reception and Shuttle Drivers to facilitate clients' daily pickups, drop offs and deliveries of patients' prescriptions.
  • Supervise receptionist to ensure smooth and efficient operation during the assigned shift.
  • Work collaboratively with team members, communicate clearly, and resolve conflicts constructively.
  • Listen to and understand requests, issues and situations from both clients and team members.
  • Ensure communication, coordination and cooperation between the front desk and other operating departments, specifically housekeeping and kitchen.
  • Conduct daily briefings, shift handovers, attend meetings, and effectively communicate information to team members.
  • Conduct welfare checks by visiting clients at hotels, gathering real-time feedback, and addressing any concerns or issues promptly.
  • Comply with Health and Safety, Emergency Management, Fire procedures and regulations. In absence of the General Manager, be a part of the Fire Team and take action accordingly.
  • Other duties assigned by the General Manager.

What You Bring

  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite and some data entry experience an asset.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a friendly demeanor to create a welcoming environment for clients.
  • Experience in customer service or willing to take customer service training.
  • Strong organizational and coordination abilities to facilitate smooth transitions and movements within the facility.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining records and conducting welfare checks.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with team members from different departments to meet clients' needs effectively.
  • Minimum of two (2) years supervisory experience.
  • Must have a valid First Aid/CPR Certificate or willing to take training immediately.
  • WHMIS Certificate.
  • Clean Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector check.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to build relationships and establish trust.
  • Ability to follow company processes, policies and procedures.
