Keskorie Boarding Home main goal is customer care focused on indigenous culture with a friendly work environment that houses people from all over the Territory.

What you will do

Under the supervision and direction of the General Manager, the Kitchen Manager is a key team member of the Keskorie Boarding Home who will be instrumental in providing excellent customer service in creating innovative and delicious dishes while maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation. This is a perfect position if you are keen on customer service with a passion for ensuring inclusive care for individuals.

What You Bring

  • Red Seal certification or Journeyman Cook equivalent to qualify for position
  • 3-5 years’ experience as a Head Chef or as a restaurant Kitchen Manager
  • Ability to provide and maintain supervision over food production for up to 200 people
  • Must have current certificates in Level 1 & 2 Food Safe, Standard First Aid, current WHMIS, and Supervisory and keep them updated as required
  • Must have experience designing, implementing and organizing menus in ala carte, buffet, banquet, and institutional formats
  • Position requires knowledge of computer operations, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Must have a complete understanding of inventory control and cost control systems
  • Providing customer services to meet quality standards for services
