Pickering Casino Resort and Casino Ajax are seeking Part-Time Slot Technicians!

Under the direction of the Slot Technician Supervisor, this position will be responsible for repairing, servicing and maintaining slot machines to minimize down time and loss of revenue to the casino in a timely manner. Slot Technicians must adhere to company policies and procedures and the Internal Control Manual of the Slot Technical Department in order to maintain the integrity of the games and provide a high level of customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate is an energetic professional with proven knowledge, skills, and abilities, executing the following in support of the company's vision, mission and values:

  • Service and repairs slot machines.
  • Perform Slot Machine Moves, Conversions, Game installs, and other slot projects as assigned and in conjunction with all applicable Alcohol and Gaming Commission Ontario (AGCO) regulations and Casino internal controls.
  • Set up game options and tests including hardware, firmware and system interfaces, to include confirmation that all are accurate and functional.
  • Daily computer use including Microsoft office, in-house slot management programs and others as needed.
  • Document instances of hardware failure, repair, installation, and removal.
  • Assist guests with any needs or concerns in a friendly and courteous manner.
  • Slot Projects will require travel to other One Toronto locations.

Successful applicants will demonstrate the following qualifications:

  • Degree or diploma or comparable combination of equivalent working experience and education with a background in electronics.
  • 1+ years' hands on working experience in a Slot Operations or Electronics area.
  • Fine Pitch Soldering
  • ICT, SMT and Wave Soldering
  • PCB Fault Finding and Debugging
  • Chip Component Repair
  • Working knowledge of computer software packages and the ability to troubleshoot electronic equipment.
  • Must be people-focused and demonstrate a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service
  • Proactive and solution oriented with a drive to succeed;
  • Demonstrate strong initiative, active listening and teamwork skills;

Candidates must be ready and willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays and overnights. The hours of work will be based on operational needs. Ready to embark on your next adventure?
