The Junior Cook – Operations Support serves a variety of essential back of the house and front of house Food & Beverage (F&B) roles. You are required to maintain a safe sanitary work environment and r use proper cleaning techniques for kitchen equipment.
• Assist the Chef Manager in the preparation and service of basic meal options to the clients
• Support any on-site catered events that take place from time-to-time
• Maintain excellent customer service and positive attitude toward guests, clients and co-workers
• Monitor and record food and equipment temperatures as required; monitor proper equipment operation
• Ensure guest satisfaction by maintaining all dishes, pots, pans silverware, glasses and utensils are cleaned and sanitized
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment including hygiene, appearance, and uniform
• Ensure all food storage align with food hygiene regulations and that stock rotation system is being followed.
• Cleaning duties associated with service and related equipment and/or furniture
• Preparation of service area and/or service points
• Accurate storage of food items and equipment after service

• 1-2 years’ experience in a commercial kitchen, cafeteria, fast-food outlet or restaurant is required
• Previous kitchen experience in food prep or short-order cooking is preferred
• Must be customer-service oriented to develop positive client relationships
• Must be professional, have good communications skills, and well presented at all times
• Knowledge of various food prep methods, accurate knife handling, and food safety regulations such as accurate food handling, sanitation, and storage preferred
• Must be able to acquire food safety certification after hire
This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
