Position Summary:

As the Senior Specialist, Organizational Development and Wellness, you will play a key role in contributing to the achievement of Holland Bloorview's mission, vision, values and strategic plan. Reporting to the Manager, Organizational Development and Wellness, you will design, deliver, and evaluate high-impact learning and organizational development initiatives that strengthen individual, team, and organizational effectiveness.

In this role, you will collaborate with leaders and teams across the organization to build leadership capability, foster team effectiveness, support change management, and promote a healthy workplace culture rooted in learning and well-being. You'll apply your expertise in adult learning, facilitation, coaching, and engagement to identify needs and deliver creative, evidence-informed solutions in areas such as leadership development and employee wellness to support organizational effectiveness.

You bring well-developed communication, critical thinking, and project management skills, along with a passion for continuous improvement and inclusive, people-centered development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive needs assessments and analyze organizational data to identify learning and wellness priorities aligned with hospital strategic goals and evolving employee needs.
  • Design and develop high-impact learning and wellness programs for leaders and employees, including content development, facilitation guides and evaluation tools, under the direction of the Manager, ODW.
  • Facilitate in-person and virtual training, workshops and team sessions using organizational development and adult learning strategies to strengthen leadership capacity and employee well-being.
  • Create and maintain high-quality program materials such as presentations, learning modules, handouts, facilitator and participant guides and toolkits.
  • Deliver and continuously improve orientation programs for new leaders and employees in collaboration with the People and Culture and operational leaders.
  • Provide consultation, coaching, and facilitation to leaders and teams to support change initiatives, strengthen team dynamics, and enhance organizational effectiveness.
  • Coordinate communications, logistics and execution of organization-wide learning and wellness initiatives (e.g., Emerging Leaders Program; Mental Health Week) for employees.
  • Promote programs and services through internal communication platforms and initiatives to increase awareness and drive greater engagement and participation.
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring they meet timelines, deliverables, budgets and quality standards.
  • Track and report on programs and initiatives, using data to assess effectiveness and inform continuous improvement efforts; prepare reports and coordinate regular reports that highlight impact of ODW initiatives to guide strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Stay current with research, trends, and emerging practices in organizational development, leadership, learning, and employee well-being.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education

  • Undergraduate degree in Psychology, Education, Human Resources, Health Disciplines, or related fields, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, required
  • Master's degree in Adult Education, Industrial-Organizational Psychology, Organizational Development, and/or Health Disciplines or related fields, preferred
  • Certification or designation in organization development; coaching (e.g., CFI); facilitation; change management (e.g., Proci); LEADS Certified Specialist, preferred

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years' work experience in an Organizational Development capacity required, preferably in a healthcare environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in learning and development, including the application of adult learning principles, instructional design, learning needs assessment, customized program design, facilitation, delivery, evaluation, and engagement strategies.
  • Strong understanding and practical experience of methodologies in leadership development, change management, facilitation, coaching, conflict resolution, and equity, diversity, inclusion, accessibility and anti-racism (IDEAA) practices.
  • Experience leading or developing wellness initiatives, programs, or projects; managing or coordinating health and wellness initiatives is considered an asset.
  • Familiarity with the LEADS in a Caring Environment Capabilities Framework is an asset.
  • Proficiency in applying project management principles, practices, and methodologies.
  • High ethical standards, with a demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and cultural safety.
