Allied Universal is seeking a Shift Supervisorin North York, ON.

Title: Shift Supervisor

Location: North York, ON

Payrate: $20.00- $23.00/hour

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 15:00-23:00

Due to site requirements in pharamecutical, individuals will be required to provide proof of vaccination for the following:

  • Diphtheria
  • Pertussis
  • Tetanus

Province should be covering costs of vaccinations. However, should there be any fees Allied Universal will cover costs associated with vaccination, should regulations for Ontario change.

Overview:

Allied Universal is seeking an experienced Shift Supervisor for our security operations in North York, ON.The ideal candidate is a seasoned professional with excellent communication skills, willing to work rotational shifts, and able to lead a dynamic security team. If you have experience as a Shift Supervisor, enjoy patrolling, and can maintain a high level of professionalism, we'd like to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee that all aspects of the security function on-shift are performed In a diligent manner (staffing, scheduling, and on-site training)
  • Ensure that contract-required training and screening elements for security personnel have been met
  • Maintain overtime to a minimal or preset requirement
  • Ensure quality of service and contract compliance by regularly inspecting security personnel and their job performance when assigned to his/her shift
  • Perform other operations and related functions (e.g., payroll, review and maintain incident reports, assist in preparation of security surveys and post orders)
  • Make recommendations for positive and negative personnel actions for those under his/her direct supervision
  • Respond to client requests
  • Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders
  • Provide direction and instruction to subordinates in regard to the performance of their duties
  • Disciplinary action/commendation decisions pertaining to security personnel
  • Make productivity and cost reduction recommendations to management
  • Make recommendations for physical security surveys and post orders
  • Make recommendations concerning disciplinary action/commendation decisions pertaining to security personnel

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience as as a Supervisor/Shift Supervisor in a hospital or corporate setting
  • Must have 1-2 years of experience in a Hospital or Corporate Office Building.
  • Must be at 25 years of age, due to company vehicle insurance requirements.
  • Validate (G) Licence (Ontario), with a clean drivers abstract.
  • Open availability for rotational shifts, including days, nights, and weekends.
  • Ability to operate technology and wireless communication systems at client-specific sites.
  • Must have a valid Ontario Security License.
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada up to 40 hours a week.
  • First Aid and CPR
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience
  • Physically capable of standing or walking for long periods, climbing stairs, and occasionally lifting or carrying up to 20 kilograms.
