Job Summary

Now, if you were to come on board as a Porter Manager, we'd ask you to do the following for us:

  • Co-ordinate and monitor all Portering activities
  • Liaise with front line Call Centre operators, porters, and cleaning staff in addressing areas in compliance
  • Utilize the internal software effectively
  • Compile, collate & interpret statistics for regularly inspected areas
  • Complete in-depth QA reports.
  • Assist with the development of best practices for operations.
  • Encourage and inspire staff to reach benchmarks through innovative methods.
  • Advocate strict adherence to the infection control process
  • Creation of all necessary shift reports, including maintenance deficiency requests for immediate or scheduled consideration
  • Monitoring discharge cleaning and patient transport tasks to ensure compliance
  • Ensure efficient patient flow throughout the hospital
  • Effectively manage a large team of porters and call center associates

  • Post-secondary education
  • Three years of management experience in healthcare, facilities, portering, environmental services or related.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient computer skills, specifically with Windows.
