Under the direct supervision of the F&B Supervisor and or F&B Manager, this position is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and inventory levels of the F&B outlets with the strictest regard to rules, regulations and outlet operational guidelines while contributing to a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members. This position may be performed in a restaurant, bar and grill, on a casino floor, at the bar(s), in coolers, freezers, dry stock areas or other areas. Ensures adherence to the Company's policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and supports Great Canadian's learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.
Key Accountabilities
Clears tables or counters as soon as they are vacated
Removes used dishes/glasses/cutlery/linen/paper products; disposes of them according to the outlet operational guidelines
Cleans tables and counters and resetting according to outlet operational guidelines
Runs food to guests as requested
Assist in the overall maintenance/cleanliness of F&B areas including floors, walls, counters, shelves, et c.
Assist servers in replenishing beverage carts with stock required (if applicable)
Restocks the bar, bar and grill, restaurant, self-serve stations and staff cafe outlets with all requirements needed for service
Delivers catering functions to venues, sets up function with all items needed for food and beverage service and clears function when completed
Minimizes breakage by properly filling bus pans & following safe lift procedures
Collects recyclables & garbage's to dispose of in accordance with outlet operations
Provides guests with additional items as requested
Maintains clean, organized and efficient stock rooms (coolers & all dry stock areas)
Puts away orders received ensuring the FIFO system of rotation control is adhered to
changes all pop bibs to ensure all outlets are serving product advertised
documents and communicates any spillage or breakage from deliveries
Performs opening and closing duties as required
Cleans spills as they occur ensuring proper signage is in place to avoid slips or falls
Liaises and communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments
Provides breaks to serving, host and bar staff in compliance with their detailed position descriptions
Develops and cultivates strong working relationships with all stakeholders: guests, ownership and team members
Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
Performs other duties as assigned or directed
Education and Qualifications
High School Diploma
Minimum 6 months work experience
Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License
Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective and service oriented communication
Work Environment Considerations
Regular restaurant, bar and grill or bar, coolers, freezers and stock room environments, standing or walking for long periods of time, some exposure to noise, odors; lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, stretching, some exposure to verbal abuse, non-traditional work hours
