Our front-end team is essential to the success of Food Basics, and we are looking for individuals who enjoy meeting new people and helping others. If you thrive in a dynamic environment and are passionate about making a positive impact, we want you on our team!

What you'll do:

  • Greet customers and provide excellent customer service
  • Scan items efficiently and with accuracy
  • Process various forms of payment (cash, credit/debit cards, gift cards)
  • Process returns
  • Provide receipts and any necessary change
  • Offer assistance with loyalty programs or coupons
  • Assist team members with put away items
  • Keep the checkout area clean and organized
  • Assists with other duties as assigned by Management

Qualifications:

  • Customer service driven
  • Strong communication skills
  • Retail experience is considered an asset
  • High attention to detail and basic level of numeracy skills
  • Basics computer and register skills is an asset
  • Able to stand for extended periods of time
  • Must be available to work flexible shifts which may include nights, weekends and holidays
