The Opportunity:

Under Sunwing Vacations, we are looking for a Marketing Assistant to join us in making vacation dreams come true. As the Marketing Assistant, you will apply learned marketing knowledge to support campaigns through a variety of channels. You will work with various marketing teams to ensure all assets are produced for campaigns in a timely manner. The Marketing Assistant will also keep a finger on the pulse when it comes to overall marketing activities (across the travel vertical and beyond) and will be responsible for monitoring and reporting on the competitive landscape. The position reports to the Sr. Manager, Brand & Integrated Marketing and will be located in Toronto, ON.

What You'll Do

• Assist with the execution of marketing campaigns
• Ideate and support brand and promotional planning
• Ensure all content plans reflect brand tone, look and feel
• Support the creation of marketing collateral for various channels within the broader marketing team
• Assist in the development of campaign briefs (creative, copy, etc.)
• Collaborate with cross functional internal teams to bring campaigns to life
• Support in project managing various campaigns and ensuring deadlines are met
• Capture action items through meetings to ensure all stakeholders are informed and up-to-date with latest information
• Monitor the marketing landscape and share learnings with the broader team to find opportunities for the Sunwing brand
• Other Duties as assigned

What You'll Need:

• 2 years experience in marketing, public relations or related field is preferred
• Up to date knowledge of marketing trends (i.e., social, digital, traditional advertising)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Enthusiastic individual who would like to experience all areas of marketing
• Must be organized and maintain a strict schedule to ensure on-time delivery of various materials
• Ability to multi-task and manage several campaigns at once
• Strong time management
• Interest in travel is an asset
