Job Description

We are hiring full-time and part-time supervisors for our Starbucks location on Queen's University campus. The Shift Supervisor is an entry-level management position responsible for day-to-day supervision of all team members. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following: floor leadership, exceptional guest service and complaint resolution. This person will ensure the highest level of customer service, safety, sanitation, quality, and consistency while driving sales and controlling costs.

Job Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day supervision of all Team Members on the floor
  • Organizing each shift using proper positioning to best take advantage of team members strengths
  • Setting shift goals and objectives that align with the priorities of the business
  • Managing the flow of service throughout the shift
  • Maintaining focus on hospitality, speed of service and order accuracy
  • Ensuring all daily tasks and other assigned duties are completed
  • Leading by example to ensure all team members work in a safe and productive manner
  • Completing daily logs
  • Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety legislation
  • Resolving customer complaints effectively to maintain the highest level of guest satisfaction
  • Develops and implements strategies to achieve customer satisfaction goals.
  • Supervises day-to-day employee issues in a professional manner while adhering to all Aramark policies and procedures.
  • Supports and implements training programs that develop skills to better serve guests, build repeat business, grow revenue, and improve morale.
  • Supervisor accurate adherence to Aramark's time and attendance procedures.

Qualifications

  • Ability to direct the work of others
  • Ability to learn quickly
  • Effective oral communication skills
  • Knowledge of the retail environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Must be available to work days, evenings and weekends

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Education

Minimum 1-2 years experience
