Position Summary

Magellan Aerospace, Kitchener has a new opportunity for an Industrial Cleaner. The successful incumbent will be responsible for light cleaning throughout the facility, with the opportunity to assist in our shipping/receiving department. The range for this position is $19.02/hr - $22.73/hr, depending on experience.

Primary Responsibilities

This position is mainly janitorial, however if the business need arises the role will also assist in the logistics department of the facility.

• Operate industrial cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers and vacuums
• Ensure all cleaning operations adhere to established health and safety procedures
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, change rooms, lunch rooms and other common areas
• Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repair
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment
• Light Clearing of snow

Secondary Responsibilities

• Unpack products, verify paperwork to parts (raw material & hardware)
• Pack and protect product for shipping
• Assisting with loading and unloading of trucks
• Pick orders for production floor for raw material, and assembly
• Work very closely with Shipping Administrator and Manager of Shipping/Receiving

Position Requirements

• Candidate must be detailed orientated
• Must be able to read, write and understand English, with the ability to accept and follow both verbal and written instructions
• Physical fitness and dexterity
• Knowledge of cleaning and janitorial work

• Strong knowledge of health and safety policy and practices
