Wage Rate:$17.20

Working Hours Monday - Thursday 8a - 1p (exact hours to be determined)

Location: Markham (Major Mackenzie and 404)

Essential functions and responsibilities of the position may vary by Aramark location based on client requirements and business needs.

Job Responsibilities

• Supporting the Chef manager in food preparation, making sandwiches, salads and other required items
• Supports dishwashing station/front service line and back kitchen and related areas or cleanliness.
• Ensures equipment is clean and in working condition; reports any issues to management
• Supports serving customer on the line during the day to provide excellent customer service.
• Maintains excellent customer service and positive attitude towards guest, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.
• Adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation
• Ensures security of company assets

Qualifications

• Demonstrates an understanding of food safety, kitchen safety.

• Must be able to follow basic food preparation procedures, basic recipes
• Must be available to work flexible hours including evenings for catering events if required

• Previous Kitchen experience required.

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
