Facilities Lead Supervisor

Job Summary

Now, if you were to come on board as a Facilities Lead (Supervisor), we'd ask you to do the following for us:

• Ensures Facilities Team has completed all necessary Compass/ESFM and TJX Safety Training regulations and programs, including the reporting of records and re-certification schedules.
• Provide direct supervision to Facilities technicians and assist with supervision of general maintenance staff, and indirectly to external service providers (contractors).
• Ensure proper written and verbal communication regarding relevant information is shared within team members, leadership and client representatives.
• Daily management of the Facilities Team through delegating assignments and workloads, coordinating and determining training needs, along with monitoring and evaluating performance and client interaction.
• Expected to be observant and recognize building deficiencies and determine general maintenance needs.
• Work with the FM team to input, assign and complete work orders within the facility management workorder system.
• Assist leadership team in supervising and coordinating maintenance services and repairs, and related equipment within ESFM scope.
• Assist in the formulation and implementation of preventative maintenance programs.
• Maintain accurate records with regards to annual inspection of tools and equipment along with the general preventative maintenance.
• Take ownership of their business area and suggest improvements to increase the safety & service and reduce costs.
• Works to ensure that all legislative requirements are adhered to.
• Ability to meet with service contractors and vendors regarding the authorization of repairs up to assigned limits.
• All other duties assigned to provide the client with the high standard of service expected from ESFM.

• Basic understanding of and experience with Microsoft Suite software.
• Building Environmental Systems (BES) certifications are preferred, otherwise a successful candidate is recommended to pursue training.
• Some understanding of various Federal, Provincial, and local codes and regulations involving construction, installation, fire, safety, and sanitation.
