Employment Period may start as early as April 21, 2025 up to September 1, 2025. Both part time and full time options available. Part time schedule up to 30 hours/week. Full time schedule up to 40 hours work, and includes weekends and holidays.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Equipment operation for the purpose of maintaining golf course amenities including, greens, tees, fairways, rough, bunkers, litter pick up, garbage and recycling collection and disposal.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications
- Experience in golf course maintenance and landscaping a definite asset.
- Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must possess Emergency First Aid Certification.
- Must have green patch CSA approved safety boots, 6" - 8" to cover ankle, suede or leather.
- Must be capable of performing physical work in an outdoor setting, including bending, lifting, walking, pushing and standing.
- Must be available to work weekends, shift work and overtime.
- Must be available to work Labour Day weekend.
- Normal hours of work are Monday to Friday 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., alternating weekends including Holidays 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. up to 40 hours/week.
- Schedule may vary to meet operational needs.
- Successful applicants will be required to attend various training sessions throughout the spring.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Working outdoors during all seasons and weather conditions.
- Exposure to vibration, unpleasant smells, fumes, dust, and flying particles.
- Exposure to grass, weeds, and other potential outdoor allergens and various insects.
- Requires bending, lifting heavy equipment and objects (up to 55 lbs), climbing, walking, pushing, sitting, standing and repetitive motion.
Hourly Rate/Salary: $17.70 - $21.08
