What is the opportunity?

A key role where you will provide Creditor and Travel (C&T) financial reporting support while proactively identifying key performance drivers and business trends through management reports and presentations. You will also be responsible to provide financial decision support to C&T business by presenting financial analysis and actionable management information to enable profitable and efficient management of the business. As a member of the planning team, develop and report complex financial short-term and long-term planning, forecast and sensitivity models for the Creditor and Travel product lines.

What you will do?

  • Having developed a deep understanding of the business, act as key finance advisory contact for the Bank Creditor division and Travel product line, providing proactive, value-added advice and guidance to the senior management team.
  • Provide advice and analysis of financial impact and assessment of initiatives, business proposals and strategies of the division.
  • Direct and facilitate the development and production of the annual financial plan, forecasts and expense budget of the division using drivers and trends to identify values and opportunities.
  • Reporting and analysis of actual and/or projected results, updating forecasts and providing executives, finance leaders and management team with timely assessments on variances and issues to be addressed.
  • Direct the development and production of financial management reports specific to the divisions including performance metrics.
  • Act as the financial liaison for the business on issues dealing with compliance, taxation, accounting, and business cases.
  • As a member of the operating committee team, key finance advisory role to provide advice and input into tactical and strategic planning.

What you need to succeed?

Must Have

  • Post secondary education and completion of a recognized professional designation (CA, CGA, CMA) or MBA or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of financial services industry experience in progressive finance roles
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills, and strong conceptual ability to summarize complex issues
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and prioritization skills; excellent oral and written communication skills to advise senior management and for communicating results and information
  • Ability to ensure business objectives are achieved by promoting teamwork and developing commitment to corporate objectives
  • Excellent working knowledge of all Windows based software with exceptional Excel skills
  • Solid understanding of Insurance products and moderate understanding of how actuarial liabilities are developed
  • Excellent planning and forecasting, management reporting, business advisory support
  • Client centric focus with strong initiative and self-motivated
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
