Under the direction of the Manager, Parks & Property Services, the Trail Ambassador will promote and provide the public who use the Town's trails with information on trail etiquette, cycling speeds, and overall trail safety; data collection by monitoring use, recording and tracking concern/complaints, etc.; answer general questions from public.
1. Currently enrolled in a post-Secondary college program in public or business administration, customer service or related field or a combination of education and experience.
2. Ability to work independently or as part of a team with little supervision.
3. Strong interpersonal, public relations, problem/complaint resolution and mediation skills.
4. Demonstrated communication skills (both verbal and written) at an intermediate level.
5. Must be able to exhibit maturity and sound judgment.
6. Must be customer service oriented and use tact and diplomacy to deal courteously and effectively with the public.
7. Intermediate computer skills in data entry, word processing and other pertinent software i.e. MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
8. Class "G" Driver's License in good standing and a reliable vehicle to use on corporate business.
