The Engineering Project Manager is responsible for projects from initiation to completion. Reporting to the Senior Director, Building Operations; the Engineering Project Manager provides direction and leadership to ensure projects are completed efficiently and on time while adhering to policies and departmental operational procedures. The Project Manager creates budgets, workplans, produces schedules and assigns labor; reviews and customizes design drawings to meet the needs of the organization. Effectively communicates with Executive team members as well as the Architectural, Electrical, Mechanical, Structural and Life Safety Consultants, Contractors and Vendors through concept, design, procurement and construction. The job involves:

• Work with consultants to develop required specification and construction drawings suitable for permit/tender/construction
• Responsible for ensuring departmental goals, timelines and deadlines are consistently achieved
• Execute multiple projects running simultaneously in various stages of development and/or construction while supporting other departments on general requests for upgrades/modifications
• Read and understand the terminology and symbols used in reports, notes, shop drawings and specifications to interpret data and information for use in designing and generating plans
• Develop and manage the project schedule, phasing plans, communication plans, project files & budget
• Coordinate and ensure compliance of all applicable Quality Control/Quality Assurance requirements as well as compliance and workplace policies, internal control procedures, and AGCO directives.
• Ensures all work is completed and areas maintained in a manner consistent with Health & Safety requirements and best practices.
• Monitor and Control; Identify project risks, problems and issues as early as possible; ensuring mitigating actions are in place to minimize impact, and elevate to senior management as appropriate relative to severity
• Provide performance status reports regarding cost forecasts, schedule and safety, working with contractors, procurement and inspectors on proper execution of projects
• Responsible for the development of the Master Schedule for various projects, including strategies and monitors project processes, ensuring adherence to the Schedule
• Builds company reputation through earning trust and loyalty of guests. Shares knowledge and information regarding the organization
• Working independently and in a team environment
• Flexibility to support a 24/7 operation
• Any other duties as assigned

The ideal candidate has:

• Knowledge of Auto Cad and Revit an asset
• Previous experience with basic building systems, electrical/mechanical/structural & architectural is an asset
• Minimum 5-7 years progressive management experience
• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
• Previous building, retail, office restaurant and bar design experience an asset
• Excellent computer skills (Microsoft office programs, AutoCAD, MS Project, and Kronos).
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to focus on results
• Excellent organizational, communication and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines and pay strict attention to detail
